This perhaps my last post before leaving Bangkok on the early morning. I recently tried and tired with Adobe Photoshop CS3 Beta. I tried to install in on Windows Vista Ultimate. The installation is success but for every times I run it always keep error, I forgot but something like -180 integer.. and so on. It means I never use it but that new interface, layout and work space is amazing and impressed.
Adobe Photoshop is always complex for newbie, I was one in the beginning. I still make a lot of mistake even I use it daily. For example, when I try to cut some part but it not fit with the value I set. More and more often I get confuse which layer I working on. So, the error dialog is present. May be this picture I found via Live Search is same thing.

Just for fun (but I do agree) and happy new year!

It’s the tech sites are dry up during this long holiday, no posts no news. Before I leave Bangkok I need something so read. I can not live my life without reading while most people prefer watching (e.g. TV). Look through my FeedDeamon with 300+ subscribed feeds. I have seen one interesting news on ExtreameTech, uhh why I didn’t noticed before? It’s posted on Dec 22th.
Sun Microsystems released it first stable version of its Looking Glass 1.0. How long? as I heart it four or five years already since Sun announced this project back to 2003. I always keep looking on this interesting project for years until I lost interest recently because of long await.
If you don’t know what Looking Glass is. It 3D and transparence environment for Desktop. You may find out from the project web page. Or, give a try with a stable build release 1.0. It’s available for Windows, Linux and Solaris.

December is the month (yes! it is) that I don’t want it exist. It winter with those cool wind. Whole day is covered by cool wind and fog and also sunshine during the day but not strong as it should. Most people like this period of the year but not me. Outside my room, here in Krungthep (you known as Bangkok), when the night is fall people going for Beer Garden. I experienced once and it good but I stop with alcohol for two years. Most of my life living in Southern Thailand where the weather consisting of two: rain or hot. I familiar with the hot, adoption for nearly 30 years. I realized that I am a tropical animal who live close to the equator. I like summer time with strong summer wind and the sun. Working hard in my garden under the sun is sweet thing and I thinking of it. During this four years in Bangkok I always remind myself that I should migrate to south (just like the bird form Siberia) but I always stuck in BKK.
I always have some important things to do or otherwise have to be here. With Windows Live Messenger this emos is good. The frozen one surrounded with fired one is me. I need some fire for raising the temperature of the room. Like I speak before I always have to stuck in Bangkok but not this year. Tomorrow I will leaving here, go south to my home, to my patent. I will be back after the winter is gone.

Yes, correctly! it not my typo error. Guy form Liveside posted about browser based Windows Live Messenger Mobile for awhile. For this good holiday I just accepted for Windows Live Messenger Mobile managed beta testing at Microsoft Connect site. I tried with my mobile phone. One thing I found inconvinence is that “*” for password input. I don’t like to use my mobile for making a convesation so I got a crazy idea. I type URL (http://mobile.live.com/wlm/imsi.aspx) on my Internet Explorer 7 on Windows Vista. Because it browser base, and yes it working. I give you some screens below:

Windows Vista come with two useful programs, at least for me, that is Windows DVD Maker and Windows Movie Maker. I use both of them rather often or at least once a week. The things I learnt since beta 1 up to the final release, RTM version. If I need to keep this features working correctly or not face with none responding, I have something to avoide:
- Do not install any codec pack. Those codec pack like K-lite or whatever that need for extra support, wider rang of file that Windows Media Player can play, this will make those software stop working. That may happen from beginning when you try to ad a movie clip or sometime after the process is begin.
- Do not install any current version of CD/DVD burning software. Really? Badly? you may try to install the latest Nero (version 7.5.9.0A which Vista Ready), then try to burn a movie you made with DVD Movie Maker and see what happened. Note for Nero: if you use UltraISO or WinISO don’t install Nero. If you install Nero and uninstall it these software will never work lke before.

Yesterday Microsoft released December CTP build 6001 but for this moment it only available via Connect site. I look at my Technet but Dec CTP not already there for download? what’s happened then? David from Windows Sever teams explained on this post:
“Why isn’t it up on our download site?” Well, you probably heard about the inclement weather we had up here in the Pacific Northwest over the last week, which damaged power lines throughout the region and left lots of people (and the Microsoft campus) without power for a few days. The truth is that we wanted to get the CTP up on MSDN at the same time as Connect, but there were still some internal systems down, so we weren’t able to get them done together. However, we will get this new CTP to our MSDN and TechNet subscribers as soon as we can - I would guess about a week, so hang in there!
So take some time off for the holidays (I’m on vacation myself in Ireland this week) and relax with family and friends - your CTP should be waiting for you when you get back!
So keep waiting until the holiday is ended. May be that time I need to go south for my sister’s wedding party. And then I will be here after the new year.
