CRN Product of the year list for 2006 select Microsoft Vista Enterprise Edition for Operating System category. It surprised my if Vista is actually accepted for the product of the year. The question is not come up by me but it seem most of The Tech site and/or analysis is not very well welcome with Vista. But still the reason that Frank J. Ohlhorst explained:
One may question whether Vista should be bestowed with Product of the Year recognition in the operating system category. But the product unquestionably brings new features and capabilities to solution providers that in turn promise new revenue generation dialogues with end users
I run Windows Vista as my main OS since Beta 1 and I rarely switched back to Windows XP. The quality of Windows Vista is very acceptable and is the first choice for me except Media Center. Media Center is extremely poor on my machine.
James Senior asking question why they chose Enterprise over Ultimate and guess that don’t need Media Center or the Ultimate Extras. By personal, for the year 2006 there is only two versions of Vista available that are Business and Enterprise Edition. Ultimate will release to customer next year.
I noted on Notebook category over choices Hewlett-Packard Compaq NC6400 for best product. I walk away from HP brand after I brought my first HP Pavilion Desktop. HP PC always come with set of HP’s junk softwares and trailware which bring the performance of machine down .
