Hide an Update from Vista’s Windows Update
With Windows Vista, Windows Update is integrated on operation system and the web based Microsoft Update and Windows Update will never available for Windows Vista. So, if you want to check if there is new update is available just click Start –> All Program –> Windows Update. Guess, most of you know about this. I always annoy with some updates that I don’t like to install (for this case, nVidia driver) but it occur there every time I check for new update. It my fault and my stupidity I have overlooked. I write it here as a note for me and other who may not familiar with Vista and have overlook.
To hide an update item:
- Right Click on update item you want to hide.
- Click on ‘Hide update’, it need your permission for UAC.

To restore just click on ‘Restore hidden updates’ on left panel of Windows Update. Just simple like that.
