According to Betanews, Hitachi to debut it first 1TB (terabyte) hard drive at CES. The drive is Deskstar 7K1000 which will available in first quarter this year with the price of $399 USD in retail store. Hitachi also will release another 1TB drive, CinemaStar, for DVR market. Hitachi seem to be the world first 1TB HDD hits the market while Seagate will release its 1TB sometime in fist half of this year, presuming on Q2. The price of Seagate’s version is not known according to the recent announcement.
