NVIDIA Driver is suck!

I experienced with this several times during beta test of Windows Vista and with beta version of NVIDIA driver. It’s caused me to worry and heritage to install any NVIDIA driver delivered from Windows Update, including . This morning I have seen Windows Update is being download an update and it is NVIDIA driver. Ok, give a try. I install that driver and what has happened to me still there. So, what’s exactly? NVIDIA driver for Windows Vista causing flashing screen especially when watch a flash movie.

Video: nVidia Driver is suck

Above video is what has happened to me this morning. Indeed, the flashing rate is 5 times quicker than what you have seen (SnagIt can not handle that quick!). I don’t think this issue is relate to Adobe Flash or Shockwave, the latest version were installed without any problem.

I went to the update history of Windows Update for getting some detail of the driver. The driver is classified as Important and it’s provided by NVIDIA. I tried to find for more info by follow the links on driver detail windows. First link bring me to Vista Support web site and explain me “what is a driver” - Oh!. The second link bring me to nowhere.

NVIDIA Driver detial

I do not know how to solve this problem. If it not the NVIDIA driver it must be NVIDIA graphic card, otherwise the both. Anyone can give me advice for ATi card?, I want to give a try. BTW, thanks to Windows Update that always create a restore point, gives me ability to reveres my machine back to a stable point. But System Restore itself doesn’t perfect, it bring back some programs which were uninstalled for age to All Program under Start menu.
