Windows Live Messenger 8.1 Final Ready to be Released
According to the email from Mike McCoy sent to all Windows Live Messenger managed beta tester inform that WL Messenger 8.1 beta is closed. Some information that available in email:
- What is the final build number? The product team actually hasn’t told us.
- When will we get the final bits, whatever the build number is? Sadly, that is another bit of information we do not have to be able to impart to you.
More of interesting info:
When does the next beta start? While we have no firm date for when the next Messenger beta will be, or if it will be a minor release (such as an 8.x) or a major release (such as a 9.0), there are plans afoot for the next beta cycle. We encourage you to remain patient until the plans are solidified.
Windows Live Messenger 8.1 will be released some time very soon, perhaps just after Bill Gates announces general availability of Windows Vista (for customer). The final version may availabe in some additional markets. I heard that there will be Thai menu (or interface) version of WL Messenger.
My question are: will Windows Live Messenger team going to add ton of suggested features (in Connect)?; will WL Messenger team going to take advantage of Windows Presentation Foundation or let Yahoo left you far behind?; Do the team will need to endless fix some issues on signing experience?.
