Since Microsoft announced Windows DreamScene for its Ultimate Extra it caused a lot of attention. Yes, it’s cool and “Wow”. DreamScene support only two types of video file, .mpeg and .wmv, regardless of file size. Graphic card must have Windows Aero capacity or meet Premium Ready. I look for a chance to see it in action not a demo video and I found a leaked file. Windows DreamScene is an update that labeled as KB929327. The installation is simple and just quick but it require reboot to enable this feature.
Now how can I set a video for desktop background? nothing in All Programs, no single program called DreamScene. To use DreamScene feature it’s really simple just like you select an image for wallpaper.

Right-Click on any .mpeg or .wmv file and select “Set as Desktop Background”, OR

Right-Click on Desktop –> Personalize –> select “Desktop Background” –> browse for a video file.

You even able to use a babe if you like.
It must be noted that some certain video files may causing high CPU usage in explorer.exe and dwm.exe (Desktop Windows Manager).
